CHARACTER
A “Three Ascents” loop around Ein Gedi – challenging and technical. A route that doesn’t obligate full commitment, with several exit options, but includes many climbs.
VARIATION
The route can be shortened by exiting via Nahal Arugot, the Chalcolithic Temple, or Nahal David.
ADVANTAGES
Excellent vertical and technical training. Option to dip in Nahal Arugot or Nahal David. Public transportation access to Ein Gedi.
DISADVANTAGES
No water point on the route (there is water at the start of Nahal David and Nahal Arugot, but that requires leaving the main route). Significant cumulative descent.
POINT OF INTEREST
Bedolina Khan is a great base if staying several days in the area.
